Someone please help w/ lsd question!!

I have a 03 evo with non acd tcase. Ive read and have been told I can use the acd/rs lsd in my tcase....

I bought a evolution 7 rs swap with tcase and it has acd, the lsd wont fit into my non acd case and I cant figure out if its aftermarket or factory , I cant find a pic anywhere of another one like it. PLEASE HELP

dude you answered your own question. It won't fit.

you can swap the full transfer case however, but you will need to take the ACD pump & controller as well.

I had a quaife in mine, wavetrac makes a diff for the '03 as well.
good luck!

this is not a factory LSD, this is a plate LSD that is used in racing, stock LSD is a helical one..... and it will need a different gear oil too..

as to why it doesn't fit.. I have no idea, it should.. What is the problem? does it not fit in the transfer box?

I don't mean in insult your intelligence, I read your first post and assumed you bought just the lsd from ebay or something.

The issue is it seems like its to big to fit in the carrier housing. Also what oil will it need. Also what abiut where the splines are, it seems a different also (length of splines)

No biggie, yea I bought a entire swap from a rally car that was wrecked its first couple races.....but since I dont have acd , id rather just use the lsd. As I know the stock lsds can be swapped.

could be cusco, carbonetic maybe...

can't you use the carrier housing from the ACD tcase and put it in the non ACD case?

the oil should be any LS oil... but the diff shares the oil with the gearbox, so this is a problem as it will not work with the stock gbox.. you need a straight cut box...
