5/6 speed base bushings are the same. Remove the base bolts, remove the metal part in between the rubber, and squeeze out the rubber; easy.

Get a short shifter, bushings are included in the kit. Gear change feels awesome with a short shifter installed.

Maybe i should do that rather.I could make the bushings on a lathe also, but that's obviously time and planning and if i get the short shifter it would be better. Is the short shifter positioned lower than the stock set-up? I would really like to keep the shift knob at the same height.

This is a photo of the agency power s-shifter to give you an idea, but only the torque solution shifter comes with the bushings included.

And do the aluminium bushes look exactly like the OEM rubber ones?

+1

I made both mods - shifter base bushings, and underhood bushings, one after the other. My shifter base bushing change made almost no difference in the shift feel (Maybe because my OEM bushings were almost brand new). But the underhood bushings made the shifting really crisp and awesome.

You must do the underhood bushings.
