Fluid Swaps

Im taking in my Evo to have the tranny replaced, along with it a Cusco carbon twin disk, steel brake line, new t/o bearing and brass shifter bushings. Im just curious if I should have them replace all the fluids for the diff's and what I should use for new tranny fluid...

If you have the $, get helix fluid.

BTW, why are you replacing the tranny?

Might as well. You will need three quarts of tranny fluid and .58 quarts for your center diff and .58 for your rear diff. I got sick of reading and researching and took what little knowledge I gained when I talked to the guys at RRE when I picked up my car from RRE.

I asked them if they had the good stuff and they sold me Redline "Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil" for the the front, Redline "75W90 All Synthetic High-Performance Gear Oil" for the rear diff, and BG Synchro Shift "For Front Wheel Drive Manual Transmissions Part 790."

If anyone has any information why these products are great or suck, I'd love to hear. But, I've already swapped fluids and they seem to work great. The Redline was $9 bucks a quart, the BG Synchro Shift was $8 per quart.

Im sorry, the 5th gear syncro is being replaced. It grinds when I shift "enthusiastically". So, Im figuring Redline synthetics in the tranny and diff's and the brass bushings from lancershop.com, and my tranny problems will be all but elminated, for now.
