Bringing this thread back as I have searched high and low; cannot find a JDM 5th for my 9RS.
I think I can shave time off my lap at our local track with a closer ratio.
On this vid, I shift to 5th on the straight right after the line and at 1:03. You can hear the significant rev drop from 4th to 5th.

^Are you in the Philippines? Im surprised your car doesnt already have the short 5th. Are you looking to merely source the parts or have your tranny rebuilt with the shorter 5th gear?

 

Yup, in the PI. It's not a local unit, probably a euro spec 9RS, but def not JDM. Just the parts and install, tranny still good.

 

I would try and reach out to TRE and see if he can assist you. The best method of contact is email. Jon@teamrip.com. He is based out in the states but may be able to offer some assistance in souring the gearset.

 

Just order from Mentor, they ship pretty much anywhere. I had them ship stuff to Nigeria before, I'm sure phillipines is nothing.

The part numbers listed in OP are in stock in US warehouses, ready for order. Also looking up a imported VIN IX RS from one of my customers, I get 2528A016 and 2528A017 for O/I 5th gears, both of which are also in stock.

 

heal2toe/superbovine, thanks for the heads up. I emailed TRE sometime early this year but they said they were unable to source the parts. I will try a dealer in Singapore; if that doesn't work then I will contact mentor. Thanks again!
