I'd say so. I chose the comp stage2 street clutch and flywheel I heard a few issues with the act clutch with noise issues coming from the throw out bearing. I think the comp clutch was rated to like 400 or 500 I'm not sure but I found the price to be better then act.

well my original TOB is making a lot of noise right now, so i guess i'll be used to that.

have had the ACT street clutch in for 75k miles on my 400whp daily driver, about 30 launches and still going strong. Not going to say what clutch is better, just posting facts. Had some minor high rpm lockout issues in the beginning but a little clutch adjustment under the dash and it was fixed. Drives like stock clutch.

how do you adjust the clutch under the dash? I'd imagine it wouldn't take to long to do since it's right their, also I had lockout issues but I switched to amsoil and it is deffenitly the s*** I love how my tranny feels now

I have an ACT HDSS, it's been in the car for a few thousand miles now. I love it, and my power goals are around the same as yours. Feels like stock, no extra noises, and no lock outs at high RPM.

under the dash as in adjusting the nut behind the clutch pedal.

I switched to Amsoil in the tranny too and didn't notice much of a difference for me.

I have the HDSS also, put it in 2ish years ago. I had the old comp stg2 clutch (back when it was kevlar) and it lasted about 3 autox events. This has lasted 2 years with moderately aggressive launching dual driving about 25 events a year. Also at the end of last year at our local invitational I did 24 drag style launches in a weekend with no issues.

I did get a bit of high RPM 1st gear lock out for a few events last year but that seems to have gone away. When I kill this, because the disc is organic, I'm just going to put in a new disc and call it good for another 2-3 years.

I sure hope my comp clutch lasts a bit longer then yours did.. I put mine in probably 4k miles ago and maybe have done about 4 or 5 launches with it. Do you think that since their not made out of Kevlar that the short life spree is a thing of the past?

Mine got smoked with one bad launch (overzealous co-driver was way overzealous ). Litterally smoked it, smoke came out the hood. But kevlar is decent, smooth and holds power but overheat it once and its done.

Organic and ceramic will just need to cool down and its good to go.

Ha dang that's why you don't let friends drive the beast! This is from map's site ... This assembly provides up to 80% increase in torque capacity and is properly suited for aggressive street use and moderate track use. The Brass Plus material with its alloy backing matched to a performance pressure plate will provide smooth engagement and extended life. 500 mile break-in highly recommended with this set-up. 300 mile break-in REQUIRED with this set-up.

The 2100 Series kit includes a performance pressure plate, a high torque sprung disc with antiburst steel backed Brass Plus facings, all applicable bearings, and the appropriate alignment tool. ..... Does this mean they are made of brass+? Would it be a organic or ceramic?
