4mm new, 3mm is supposed to be the service limit but I have seen them slip at 3.8 on the top disc in the twin. I have yet to see a triple slip with warn out disks.

The triple has thinner plates to allow the three disc's with the same thickness and one extra plate. The middle plate on the twin is HUGE. Also the twin is sprung hubs and the triple is solid so the disks take less space overall.

Reading comprehension is a hot commodity. 4MM ( .157" ) is the brand new thickness. 3MM ( .118 ) is the service limit. Triples do better with less disc life than twins. There are no more 99¢ 5pc spicy chicken nuggets at Wendys and the square root of 5 is Oprah. Carry on.
