Twin scroll is a complete waste of money, seriously. There is NO added benefit on the street or track. My previous car had a single scroll T3 based HTA86 on bone stock 2.0liter and it ran like a raped ape and made more power with less boost then a Spec Ops "built" 2.0liter with a twinscroll ETS kit with the EXACT same turbo (well obivously not the exact same) but still a GT35 variant. This is of course on pump gas cars so take it for what its worth. My turbo kit was the ETS single scroll btw. Same company.... they tried countless times to make power with the car and it just COULD NOT happen. However the usuall tuner that does work in NC was not tuning that day it was another, regardless it was a waste

And one thing might I add ETS makes great products and there great to deal with they hooked me up on my turbokit pretty nicely since they accidently lost the original turbo they were going to sell me which was used and instead just gave me a brand new GT3586. So if you decide to go twin scroll dont hesitate to get a kit from them, Im just saying for the price its not worth the benefit (In my opinion). There is a HUGE price gap between the two options.

If you know how exhaust combustion pulses and harmonics work, Twin scroll is the answer. That's why major car manufacturers are using twin scroll turbos.

Yes there using twin scroll turbos on factory motors where the turbo sizes are equivilant to a TD04 or a T25, in that essence it will give better spool and be more effecient. HOWEVER, on an upgraded turbo set up from what Ive seen single scroll kids on Subarus and Mitsubishis make the same if not more power out of similar turbos. My main point to the OP is that twin scroll is NOT cheap by anymeans. And the gain you recieve from a twin scroll design is not worth the price on are cars. I completely understand on paper the benfits of a twin scroll set up dont get me wrong but having seen a built Evo make less power on the same turbo in a twin scroll design then my personal car on a stock motor on 93 changed my views. I also had a friend with a AndrewTech built motor STI with a Twin scroll GT35r, with cams, and every single mod you can think of only make 520whp on race gas tuned by TurboXS that couldnt break into the 11's. But this is my opinion John from English racing is WAY more qualified then I am to answer this question but I wanted to share my experiences with twin scroll cars first hand. And I was dissapointed.

Your only argument against twin-scroll is for peak power use. There are more types of motorsports then drag racing, and most of them benefit from quick spool-up and response.

If only it was easier to plumb both gates in on a twin-scroll setup!
