I think going t4 with twin scroll you are looking at going with the 1.15 ar

1.15 spools like 60% of its size and makes 83.3% the power of the size relative to a single T4.

E.g. - 1.15 x 0.6 = 0.69 for spool, 1.15 x 0.833 = 0.96 for power.

I did a 2.0L VIII yesterday that was 28psi by 5000 with this exact combo and a really underwhelming sheet metal intake.

So would you always suggest a twin scroll rather than a single scroll?

I really like the 1.15 a/r. We are actually building a kit that's looking to max a 6766 with a 1.32. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

thanks,

Michael

If it is in your budget, yes. The reason I made sure to mention that SMIM is that it killed spool on a car with a 2.3 that it had been previously installed on. It is basically like pulling 300cc out of the car on a non twin scroll kit. The main reasons for twin scroll (when sized right) is response time to full boost, maintaining spool between shifts (transient response and recovery time), and reduced backpressure which helps keep knock away.

I will go grab them off the dyno and try to find a single scroll 6266 to post it against.

So in looking at it it really isnt a good example. I am going to get the owner to remove that egregious intake manifold and go back to stock so we can get a good comparison. The Forced Performance HTA3852 we did in twin scroll not too long ago gives a better indication of a properly sized housing and the response you can expect-
