Question HKS RS Intake, Stock ECU, CEL ?'s!

I'm looking for some information that I was unable to find from searching. I'm trying to do some research on the HKS RS intake and if there are any problems. I've read numerous reviews about this intake and just about everyone gave it a good review. I've also been reading about just about every intake (especially the K&N) throwing CEL's. I've tried to find out if anyone has had a problem with the HKS throwing them. I'm also trying to find out if they are being thrown with the stock ECU or a modified ECU (where reflashed or standalone or piggyback, etc). I know a modified ECU should take care of the problem if there is one. If so, which is best? Dynoflash? I'm open to any suggestions on that one. Turnaround time for the mailing and cost/benefit would be my biggest concerns. Any of info is helpful. Thanx.

I have the stock ECU with the RS intake and haven't had a single problem with it. I've had it on for about 6000 miles now.

Well to give you more feedback. Al at DynoFlash told me the RS intake is the best on the market and obviously doesn't have any issues with his flashes and intake combo because he told me I made the best choice.

I have had the rs intake for what, 12k miles now I think. NEVER had a cel because of it, ever. Stock ecu.

I agree it may be the best intake on the market... and not bad now that it's going for < $300 shipped.

I've had the RS intake on my car for ~1500 miles now. It is currently the only mod. No issues whatsoever, great intake.

I wonder if the issues with the ECU are related to people damaging the maf sensor or karmen-vortex screen.

1500 miles so far, stock ecu. Not a single problem. I love that intake. I had a 300 code thrown earlier (random misfire) but that was before the intake.

Here is some more feedback for you. I've had the intake on since January and still no problems. I'm sending my ECU out for the Dynoflash in two to three weeks so it should be a different beast.
