Brian Crower springs and titanium plates

Gentlemen,

willing to throw in GSC S2 cams. Now I run BC272 cams installed by previous owner (I know they are crap so looking for swap). I also run BC springs and Ti plates. Heard BC springs do crack... Should I keep them now or should I replace them with... GSC springs? Tomei springs?

Thanks!

Anton

I wouldn't want a valve spring to crack with my brand new GSC S2's in the same room. Just hold off on installing the cams and do it all at once.

What springs should I use in this case? Tomei?

i would stick with a beehive style spring, we offer 2 sets, hi boost and low boost. They include springs and Titanium retainers.

What would you recommend for your S2 cams? I run 1.8 bar normally.

BTW, do you make your own ones or OEM something?

Will your S2 cams work with Tomei springs fine?

From what I know about the Tomei springs, which isnt much, is that they require the EVO 7 steel retainers. They are a non beehive spring, so the steel retainer will be heavy. I wouldn't recommend it.
If you were to go with a GSC spring kit, I would say the low boost 5040 kit would be fine. But you may be fine with the BCs
