Is this a slipping clutch or something else?

Hi guys,
I've had a problem for about a week that seems to be getting worse. Here's the symptoms:

Jumps almost 2k rpms between 3-5k rpms and makes a shudder when it does it
Boost spike when it jumps several pounds higher tyhan normal, to 28 vs 25 normal
Only happens at WOT and when boost hits
80% throttle and less cruising around is completely normal and doesn't do it
Jumps in every gear - 2,3,4
new plugs, still does it, 8es .23 gap

Car has full bolt-ons, cams, tune by Diirk making 355whp and close to that tq.
Here's a youtube vid i made, tough to see the jump but its in 3rd around 16 seconds in

Thanks in advance for any input
Best
Damon

Oh, forgot to mention. after the initial slip or studder, car seems to grab and run to redline. The studder feels alot like wheel hop.

does the car seem to kick out of gear at all. When my clutch was toast it did exactly what your describing. It was hit or miss and only under WOT higher RPM's

It doesn't kick out of gear but does jump in rpms as it shutters. I guess it kind of feels like it because of the rpm spike. Funny thing is the shudder, in most the vids I saw the rpms just climb as the clutch slips. Maybe that's because it's not a stock clutch.?.

BTW, clutch is act with unknown mileage/ passes/ etc. car has less than 32k though

Thanks for your input rmorr79.

might be the clutch, when mine was done it did exactly what your describing, whenever i accelerated the rpms would jump up then fall back down, but the car wouldn't accelerate like it should
if its a stock clutch what mods do you have on your car?

should have watched the video first, ya its definitely the clutch, mine did the same thing when mine died
you can always take it to a shop and ask them to test it, but im almost 100% confident that its the clutch sorry

More than likely it's the clutch. Not sure why it shakes like it does but the rpm jumps like that once it hits peak torque. The clutch can't handle the amount of torque at peak boost, once the boost tapers down that's when it grabs again until red line.

Good way to test the clutch is to put it in 5th gear at 30mph and go WOT, if the rpms jump and youre not going any faster, its your clutch

if the clutch was slipping your rpms would rise quickly and have no power going to the ground

Time for a clutch. It's doing that when the tq kicks in once it drops a little it grabs

For clutch recommendations Id recommend the exedy twin clutch, may be expensive but for the mods that you have you will have plenty of room to grow for more power if you feel inclined to
personally got the exedy twin after my stock died and I couldn't be more happy with it
