Im going to be swapping an Evo 8 engine into my Evo 4 pretty soon. Assaultech.com says that the Exedy flywheel I have will only fit an Evo 4 but I thought all Evo 4g63s were the same. The clutch and flywheel are brand new and must be used together so I do not want to get rid of them.

Will I be ok bolting on my Evo 4 flywheel to the Evo 8 engine?

 

Clutch wise, evo4-9 5speed are the same and as you said, as long as you use the clutch/flywheel together you have no problem.

My evo4 engine at the time had a clutch/flywheel from an evo7.
