I wlll be changing out the clutch on my evo 8 soon with a ACT HD 6 puck sprung.

The car already has a Gruppe-S flywheel in it that i would like to use but i have had other people tell me that sometimes mixing different brand clutches and flywheels the "step" needs to be checked to make sure its correct.

Anyone know about the Gruppe-S flywheel? they aren't around for me to ask them or get specs on. In college so not looking to buy a new flywheel unless its needed.

On the Evo 8/9, the flywheel is flat, there is no step height to measure like the DSM's. So just get the flywheel freshened up and you'll be good to go.

come to think of it, it was a evo x friend that mentioned it and said he had an issue with it.

Does the X have a stepped flywheel or is he retarded?

 

Do you have the ACT 6 puck sprung disc already? If not I have a new one on hand that I would like to part with. New and still in the original box.
