I have run them, I liked them. I found idle was too choppy for me and changed them out, but when driving they are solid, good spool good midrange and topend, gained ~20kw peak from cams alone. I'm not really a cams person they tend to annoy me so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I have the poncams type Rs going in my engine. Car isn't finished yet so no comparisons, but the specs seem to fit my bill pretty well. Mine is for evo8

IIRC stock springs is ok on these, but upgraded recommended.

They ran fine with stock springs. I have <40K miles on my car though.

Poncam or Procams? There is a huge difference in lift.

I am looking to get some improvement in the top end, without losing spool, and having reasonable idle. I am not chasing top performance. I would like to keep the stock valvetrain. I was also considering HKS 272s. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

They are way more aggressive than HKS 272's (compare duration @ 1mm lift) and if anything you'll gain spool the intake cam is very advanced with LCA @ 105

Where can you get this info? I couldn't find it. Also could you safely use Kelfords 272s, FP FP4R, or Cosworth M2s without changing springs ? If you keep the rev limiter stock.

No, they all require valve train upgrade.
Best stock valve train cam going IMO.

I'd have to agree, but not far behind are Tomei Poncam 260 and GSC S1 if you want something a little more mild.
