Hey guys I just bought my second evo a 2003 evo 8. the guy who sold it is over seas in the army so his mom sold it. I have the list of mods but not sure if it was ever tuned. we have 272 cams, hks front mount all hard piping, warlboro fuel pump, stage 2 cold plugs, turboosmart wastegate 22 psi, xs rfl bov, 3 inch turbo back test pipe, Meghan o2 housing. when I pull and hit 10 to 15 psi and hold till about 4500 rpm the car sputters real bad sounds like turbo chatter and actually makes my bov go of like the throttle is snapping shut. not sure what it could be maybe a simple tune. if you have any suggestions let me know. thanks a lot guys.

 

Can you log it?

I know if I was leaving my car for awhile with my brothers around I'd put it in valet mode at 3000 RPM

That being said, it could be in valet mode set at 4500, or boost cut, plugs, etc.

 

thanks man maybe ill see if plugs are all fouled out try some new ones.

Does your CEL flash, say every 10 seconds?

 

no the check engine light does not flash. thanks man and if I get time ill send you the rom hope its that simple just stuck in valet.
