been running Ti exhausts for years. Now it's time to make an own one. Does anybody know about what type of Ti alloys are used by vendors to make an "titanium" exhaust? If you'd covert US style "Grade" to Russian BTxy-ze would be just great

CP2 = Grade 2 = BT1-0 (Russian)

Strange... I'd expect BT6 being used (Grade 5) as it's better @ high temp (but pain to weld).

CP-2 or 6AL-4V

Most tubing in the size you'll need will be CP-2. Good luck finding mandrel bends.

If you aren't road racing, aluminum is hard to beat for cost vs weight.

Road racing exactly. Cost is not an issue - Ti is $50/KG here.
