Weird Boost?
Weird Boost?
As I understand it, the turbo is supposed to spool up to full boost (I'm stock so 18ish psi) around 3500rpm, then hold, then taper off as you get towards redline. My boost is spooling up to like 12/13psi at 3500rpm, then slowly making its way up to around 16/17psi and not tapering off, even at near 7300 rpm. It is a 2003 with a TBE and intake, only my timing is tuned so I have <2 counts of knock anywhere. WGDC is at 100% throughout the pull, WGDC Correction is at 63.5.
Here is a video:
It holds at around 12psi, and then peaks at around 17psi.
Any help is appreciated, or is this normal?

I'm looking around the car, just testing stuff if it is working how it is supposed to...I took the recirc tube off of my BOV and plugged it. I turned the car on and a good amount of air is coming out of the BOV even at idle. It is a 1g BOV, which I know can't handle much boost but even at idle?? So I guess that is the problem, anyone care to weigh in?
Found out that the BOV venting is normal :/...anything else? I also tried a friends BOV that doesn't vent and I still have the boost doing that, although I am getting more pressure, closer to 19psi when it peaks.
