I would choose the bbk full! spools fast and makes great numbers i run a bbk full ported with bolt ons on e85 stock block and stock cams and i made 484awhp and 408tq on 28psi tuned by strictly modified. Cbrd really impressed me with this turbo!

Thanks for all the helpful replies, anyway I think im leaning towards the GTII route, since a friend of mine who happens to be a distributor of HKS products here at our area offered me a good deal on them, plus the fact that I still have to source out for an FP or BBk from the US, it pretty much seals the deal. As I have mentioned im really not after top end and big numbers I just want a Fun car to drive, fast response for some spirited street driving.

As a follow up noob question, after i slap on the turbo, do I need to get a tune right away or would it be ok to use the car for a couple of weeks more before I get a tune? Thanks!

Bolt ons, cams and tune will get you 350 like others have mentioned...on a dynojet. Mustang dyno will be below 330whp. Gl with your decision

Which is why you need to go get tuned properly on the current 9 turbo. Fast response is where the fun is in spirited street driving...

Let me put it to you this way....$400 for a good tune and 350 whp vs $1500 plus install plus $400 good tune for something that spools slower and isn't as fun ???

Get real....

I have to agree with the stock IX turbo, cams, valve springs, retainers, head studs, FMIC, FP, Injectors, boost leak test and tune/maintenance.

I have a IX turbo with a 3 port, but I'm over 400tq. If you're under that I'd keep a MBC if you already have one. If you have the stock BCS, then get a 3 port.

Let me know if you need a remote tune and/or have more questions on parts to get to achieve your goals. I'd love to tune a car in the Phillipines. Love to visit there one day really. Basically I need a friend there!

I don't know why people are advising the OP to install larger injectors. On pump gas, with the stock IX turbo, the stock injectors provide sufficient fuel. He already has a WALBRO pump. But, he dont need to upgrade injectors on the stock turbo...unless he changes fuels to Ethanol.

im...looking for...around 320-350....my choices are hks GTII 7460 turbo kit or Fp Green or black BB.... I want a fast spool turbo with a little bit of extra punch over stock evo9 turbo. Im not too concerned over top end power since its a daily driven car. I just want something that is fun to drive, agile and quick on overtaking and fast on uphill runs..... I...want to know the difference between fp green, red, Black..what could be different about each model.....
Without going into detail, there is a huge difference between the FP Black and the FP Green turbos. As a practical matter, the Green is better suited to your power goals and driving habits.

The Black produces a lot more topend power than the Green but the BB Green is a much faster spooler. The Green is the best daily-driver, street driven, pump gas turbo in the Forced Performance lineup. It is a better turbo than the 7460 IMO. But, if you can get a great deal on the HKS turbo then go that route and dont look back.

Any of these upgraded turbos are going to require a more efficient intercooler and larger injectors (Denso 720cc are too small). That being said, I agree with the peeps above that you can achieve your 350-380 WHP goal with your stock IX turbo. So, maybe you should first optimize your mods and max out the IX turbo.

Thank you for pointing out the difference between the FP Green and FP Black, however if I go the FP route, I still have to source this out as opposed to the HKS which is local distributor sourced so its less worries on my part. I would be running the car on pump gas cause ethanol is way ahead from where we come from although my next question revolves around the Injectors whether to change them out or not? If i can hit 350 or better with stock injectors and intercooler im sure i would be very happy and satisfied.

Given the circumstances, including the 7460 being locally available, at a good price versus dealing with import duties and international shipping and build time, etc., I would do the 7460 if I was in your shoes.

On pump gas and on the stock turbo you will be fine with the stock injjectors. The 7460 is a completely different story however. Maybe I am wrong, but off the top of my head I think that the 7460 flows over 50lbs. If so, then it moves more air than a BBK-Full....You are going to need bigger injectors for sure. Probably 850's at least.

yes the hks flows at 51lbs according to this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...urbo-list.html I was already thinking about changing the injectors, 850 and above injectors be good enough? can you give me any advice on what brand injectors to buy? thanks.
