I know of an early one actually warping the hotside internally where the flapper for the wastegat is. Thought it was a wastegaye issue as well untill the turbo came out .

same problem with all of them. the differences come from description of problem only. you being no different. the wastegate arm or housing is not warped. the bearing that the arm rides on wears. the flapper eventually cant seat flat on the seat anymore. making the flapper appear to be warped.
if the fp bolts on to the hks turbo and is spot on with no issues, i was looking at the fp website and it states that it fp wastegate actuator is oem like in appearance, then would the evo9 oem wastegate bolt on to the hks turbo just the same? i want to know cause my hks turbo wont hold boost, and still have to bring it back to the dealer for them to check on it.
Oh btw sorry for being a little late..... but there is no BS so try someone else.
Lemme know if you have questions since u have it right in front of you.
Btw nothing custom was done, and I did it with everything intact.
and heres the old one:
HKS BROKEN ROD.
SO I HOPE THIS CLEARS THE AIR FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT RUN THIS TURBO and the KNOW IT ALL TECHS!!!!
You CAN run the FP 18/25psi wastegate.
Thanks to EVONOT I tried this replacement path for my GT7460 as well. I went with the Turbosmart actuator and it too fits fine.
My concern is that I'd been loosing all my low end boost suggesting the wastegate was stuck open. Twice I had to tighten the stock actuator, ultimately cranking in all the threaded adjustment. Can anyone look at the image below and verify if the wastegate actuator arm appears bent, like it's twisting off inside?
Not sure if the angle of the wastegate flapper arm is supposed to be clocked like this. I'm concerned that my arm is twisting off inside...
