1st: what kinda warranty is this kit going to have againts cracks
2nd: are you going to have some kinda brace that is going to now support the extra weight from the up pipe and larger turbo
3rd: can you make the up pipe out of a cast piece so down the road I would have no worries about it breaking or cracking.

Thanks

1) 5 yr warranty against cracks or other manufacturing defects
2) Yes. Here's a pic of the support brace brace
3) Don't be swayed by the nonsense that anything tubular is failure-prone. I've seen more casting failures than anything else. Also, keep in mind that unlike most exhaust pieces, the up-pipe isn't load bearing. As is the case of the up-pipe in the WRX, it merely joins to fixed components together. It's also considerably shorter than the up-pipe in the WRX which means far less thermal growth. There is really nothing to worry about. In the thousands of WRX up-pipes we have on the road, there have been virtually no failures.

Cheers,
shiv

It's definetly a trick idea...
But your adding more piping and defeating the purpose of the cast manifold...
(Placing a welded piece at a stresspoint, the stock cast manifold isn't going to flex). Although you do have a brace which should help.

I think this is the best solution similar to what ShapeGSX pointed to...

$2400 for a bolt on GT35(not ball-bearing)
w/ Tial wastegate and all lines

http://www.atpturbo.com/root/monstermate/mitsuevo8.htm

Their not advertised by any of the vendors unfortunately ...

(This post was posted NOT to make any attacks on any vendors products. It was also posted in the Engine Turbo section where free speech is permitted)

Thanks for the feedback there but our system is designed for a number of different turbo/housing configurations. Unless we were to cast four or five different bolt-on housings, we couldn't reach this goal. Also, it's a challenge to cast an exhaust housing with the same tolerances as what is currently offered by Garret/Honeywell. While all it takes to make the housing is a foundry, to do it well is a bit more complicated. Also, having already seen that bolt-on turbo in action, we're not eager to follow its lead.

Regards,
shiv

Can you please tell us the requirements for the kit? Also What will the kit come with?

Do we have to run cams/cam gears/injectors... etc...?

Thanks,

Steve

Shiv,

I know you and Buschur don't often see eye to eye, but that aside, would you be able to tune a Vishnu Stage 1+ car with Buschur's turbo setup?

The turbo upgrade kit will be sold both by itself (turob, up-pipe, wastegate, intake, IC pipe and water/oil lines) or as a complete high output system (Stage 2). Stage 2 will be the turbo kit plus full exhaust, cams, cam gears, injectors, fuel pump, XEDE/XFlash and BOV.

Miminum requirements for the turbo kit, however, are injectors, fuel pump, and XFlash or XEDE/XEDEFlash combo. The rest can be added piece by piece for added performance.

Regards,
Shiv

When do you expect Stage 2 to be available for sale/delivery? Is this the stage 2 that you refer to in your 11.63 run, or was that something different?
