Car Keeps Dying...Help!!!

So tonight my car died on the highway. I noticed before it died that it was kind of missing and hesitating until it finally died. The wideband was showing the car getting leaner and leaner until it finally died. Tried starting it back up immediately and it turned over, caught, and then died again as if there was no fuel (fortifies why the wideband went lean). Let it sit for a while and it started back up just fine as if nothing happened. Got back on the road and a minute later, the same thing happened. Couldn't start it immediately but if waited a while, it would fire right up. Ended up having to tow it...

Does anybody know what this could be? Seems to me fuel related but I'm keeping everything in consideration.

Thanks in advance.

Could be fuel related for sure. I first thought fouled plugs (good to check regardless) but if anything you would have likely gone rich from all the unburned fuel from a fouled plug.

Do you have evoscan? You can check to see if the fuel pump is working properly by simply removing your return fuel line and put the line into a big bottle or something to drain into, and turn the key to the on position, and on the bottom right of evoscan there will be a button that activated the fuel pump for a good few seconds. Give that a shot. Itll at least be a start.

Well the fuel pump has to at least temporarily working. If it is the pump, what would cause it to work fine and then slowly die?

The pump itself could just be burned out. Over time, they do become more and more susceptible to failure.

I put my money on the Fuel Pump. The exact same thing happened to me. My pump wasn't necessarily dying, but the plug was loose and came undone.

It started sputtering and going lean. Finally it died. I restarted, drove 1/4 mile and died again, but not able to restart. Took out the pump and loose connection.
