o2 dump and manifold after install issues

HELP! So I finished up installing a toxic fab manifold and o2 dump in my Car this morning and now we're running into issues. First of there's exhaust coming out of the dump at idle. Figured it was the wastegate so I adjusted it, still nothing. Said **** it and we went and drove it. Here's our major issue, before the install this car was spot on at 25psi and tapering to 23-22 at redline. Now it's spiking 26-30 falling off to 15-17, then creeping up. First pull it hit over 30, so I hopped out and turned the boost down, now it spikes 26-27. I'm thinking the wastegate is sticking??? Or boost leak???

First off how exactly would a boost leak = more boost? lol

Wastegate linkage has to be either stuck open, or rubbing on something. Its really easy to spot just take a look.

But Is the wastegate section of the O2 the "3D design" type?
Or how is it orientated?
I have heard of people having issues with O2 housings that lack the 3D design.

nope, my dump did it as well. My tuner was able to control it sumhow. I was spiking wastegate then goin up 10psi before redline. Switched over to an ebcs. I believe this is how its controlled, not positive tho

Did u use a divided o2 housing gasket when installing? If not thats why its leaking at idle. What kind of wga are u using? I had a similiar problem with a forged motorsports piston type actuator. One of the o rings inside tore and got wedged and would do exactly what your describing.

^^^What he said, either you didn't use a divided gasket or the wastegate flapper didn't seat properly....

I'm using the factory Evo 9 wastegate and actuator. I used the own gasket as well but half the people I talk to say that's fine and the other half say it isn't so I'm not sure what to believe there. I think I'm gonna order a divided gasket just to see if that cures it, but if it was necessary, wouldn't toxic fab have included it??

I'm really much more worried about the boost issue than the leak tho.

I've installed plenty of 02 dumps without using a gasket...Just used copper gasket spray and sprayed it on the flange of the 02 housing. While it was still tacky I bolted it to the hotside. Get the divided gasket & install that. Go over all the nuts & bolts afterwards, make sure everything is tight & no exhaust leaks. Make sure the WGA is adjusted properly. Are you using a manual boost controller? Did you connect that back probably, correct line to the WG & correct line to the J pipe or vacuum source?

I never touched the lines off the boost controller except for the one on the J pipe. I see no knicks or cuts anywhere. I think I may have prematurely adjusted the wastegate to fix the leak. I'm hoping that's where my boost issues are coming from.

^^ had a similar issue with the gasket a couple of weeks ago. Getting the divided gasket will resolve that issue for sure!

I have the same issue with my car does it spike hard and then feels like it hits the wall only allowing you to boost 10psi at redline? I have a ebc too from greedy. I don't have boost leaks either. Still stumped maybe I'm thinking of switching it out for a manual one.

Adjusted the actuator back to where it was, pulled the gasket and used copper gasket spray and BAM!! Fixed! Holds a solid 25psi tapers to 22 at redline. Simple fixes and less thinking next time around.
