Hey guys,

Have recently installed a quarter master twin plate (solid center) Clutch with Hydraulic release bearing.

I have a strange noise that Isnt related to the bearings (as i had them checked pulling the box out a second time after the initial install.)

when i rev the car stationary i get a rattle @ and above 1500rpm and beyond. disengage clutch and the noise disappears. (fyi this is not the standard rattle that a multiplate clutch makes)

My gearbox guy suggests that it may be backlash or something similar caused by the clutch? it has him stuffed really as to what the problem is, but he suggests i dont pull the box out again.

Also when i am driving the car on decel i get the noise rather loudly thru the car. it sounds as to be coming from the gearbox side however while driving its hard to pinpoint it. but its very audible from outside, and doesnt sound ok.
