Look, I understand the 6266 is not going to spool like a T-25 on a DSM. I've got that.

The only question I have been asking since this thread started was for opinions on what would help the 6266 with response. That's it. General consensus is that the T4 twin-scroll is best for response, which lead to my next question: "Comparing the 1.0 A/R vs the 1.15, what would the real trade-off be?"

I'm not interested in any other answer than that. I have a 6266. Once I get my questions answered, I may actually sell it and grab something smaller. Another thing you guys do not know is that I'll be building a 2.2L later down the road, but for now I am using a stock longblock. I just can't understand why people come in here and muck up a thread for no reason. I clearly asked for first-hand knowledge in what setup would be more responsive in post #1. This isn't a turbo selection thread - it's "how to make this turbo more responsive". That's it.

my best advice is if you want a responsive big turbo setup, find a build thread on here that got the results you are looking for. then copy the setup to a tee and keep your fingers crossed you get same results.

a 6266 will hit 1000-1500 rpm later than a 3076.
3076 makes nice power from 4500-7500
6266 makes nice power from 6000-9000

1.15 = more top end, and maybe 200-400rpm later spool

From the limited instances I have experienced, the larger A/R TS stuff shows minimal losses in spool on the dyno. However, they do take a noticable hit on transient response.

In other words, the 1.15 A/R would likely show very minimal losses in spool on the dyno but would likely drive with a decent bit more lag.

The 1.01 T4 can make 800+ WHP but the 1.15 will pick up a decent amount of top end on the same setup provided the compressor wheel can keep up.
