Radiator slim fan

Hello everyone ,
I wanted to know if there anyone who has wired theirs radiator fan straight to the ignition or switch? Did you see any change is coolant temps .

I have a small radiator with a 12" slim mishimoto fan and the car overheats when it's been idling for 20-25 mins in a 95*weather . While th car is moving the temps are good and no overheating occurs ,maybe if I bypass the module and have he fan run constantly it will not overheat anymore when is idling for long periods of time or when I'm driving around the city and come to a complete stop.

PS: water pump , head gasket , radiator and pumps are new .

In ecu flash you can tune your fan tables. That would be what I would look in to before I hardwire

I've been waiting on help for my 88591715 Rom. It's not in the tables by default and when I try to add them it just adds the header but none of the tables. If someone wants to modify the v7 speed density dual map xml and upload it for me I would be extremely grateful because apparently I'm not smart enough.

Sounds like your not moving enough air-- turning them on sooner likley keep the temp from rising a little faster, but sooner or later you still have a problem and if your idling for 20-25min as you pointed out--well, I dont see a difference. You need a fan thats moving more air. So How many cfm are you pushing with the one you have? Is it wired correctly so its moving air in the rt direction?

I'd do a leak down test on your coolant system, and remove your t-stat and perform a simple test on that to make sure it's not stuck.

How much does that fan flow and are you sure it's a puller if it's mounted on the engine side of your radiator?

I have a Spal 12" on a ToxicFab Slim Radiator wired through a relay which is triggered off the factory fan controller and mine works perfectly. Temps never go over 190 even under WOT.

Below are the specson the fan . For examople if I'm drivng around the city the car does not overheat at all once I come to a stop light and stay there for 1-2 mins the temp starts to rise a little bit not too much though, when i get moving again it goes back to normal temp . Water pump , headgasket, thermostat are all new in good working order. As far as the fan being wired correctly I would say yes because it turn ons just fine . Should the blades be spining clockwise or couter cloickwise?

Mishimoto Slim Electric Fan 12"
CFM
933.5

Fan Diameter
280mm

Fan RPM
2095

Number of Blades
10

Current
~8A

Volts
12.25V

Amps
5.7

Velocity Ft/Min
724

Inlet Pressure While Tested
-0.04

Air Temp While Tested
62.6 (degrees F)

I DONT KNOW IF IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO ADD ANOTHER FAN IN FRONT OF THE RADIATOR SINCE I DONT HAVE AC AND I HAVE ENOUGH OF SPACE TO MOUNT A 10' FAN? ONE FAN PUSHING AND THE OTHER ONE PULLING ?

Are you still using the factory module?

Yes, it switches the ground to my relay. IIRC.

Perma-Cool Standard Electric Fans 19122

I'm running two of these, one where the ac fan would be and one for the radiator fan. I have them wired to come on at the same time.

Depends on the temp outside, so far they come on once the car warms up and run as long as they need to. On cooler days or when its raining out the car doesn't seem to hit over 180 on normal or hotter days it sits around 190-200.
