next turbo up from gtx3582

hi guys just in process of rebuilding engine after melting the pistons, my aim is 500kw on e85 with 2.0litre on a fully built motor capable of 10,000rpm and 35psi+ boost. im running low comp 8.3.1 in the hope of running more boost on a particular octane fuel. anyway im thinking the gtx turbo will not be enough to reach the power level im hoping for, and would like some advice on a recommended turbo to reach this power level. thanks

the gtx3582 is capable of over 550kw to the wheels. you might want to look at other restrictions in your setup before deciding a turbo upgrade is needed.

GT4088 T4 twin scroll with 1.15 housing would be the moneyshot for that power level... wouldn't need more than 30psi and would outspool the GTX35 s/s and have more midrange so win win

if I went bigger such as the gt4088 im guessing id be picking up midrange torque, running less boost but more lag, depending on A/R , would this be right? for 500kw
im swaying more towards pte 6262 now

An HTA86 will out spool a 6262 and make 500kw plus all day long without a sweat.

BTW, there are plenty for sale right here on this very board.

You'd have the same lag as the 35 due to it being single scroll so you'd improve everywhere.

As you know, Precision is virtually unknown in NZ where everyone seems to be fixated on GT Garretts but you just don't have the good twin scroll housings available till the 4088.

I'd go borgwarner personally but you could try importing a precision.

If money is no object:

FP HTA GT3786R Ball Bearing Turbocharger

http://store.forcedperformance.net/m..._Code=Turbo-FP

If you on a Budget Garrett GT3788R Ball Bearing Turbocharger in a T4 1.15 twin scroll setup

If you dont need the reliability of a Garrett Ball Bearing Turbocharger then:
Precision 6266 or 6466

GT3788R sounds great on paper but is a bit of a mismatch in wheel sizes when in T/S format... be all good S/S however.

Garrett is releasing a GTX4088R soon. Something to think about as it fills the gap between the GTX3582R and GTX4294R.

AFAIK the GTX3582 flows more than the 6262. I would go with 6466 or maybe even a comp turbo 6465.
