I ordered a set of hks 272 cams for my 2005 evo 8. I recieved the intake cam but no exhaust ... a week later I got an email stating that the exhaust cams are no longer available. Now I have a brand new intake cam and no exhaust cam to go with it. What are people using as an alternative or does anyone know where to still get one? I don't want to do springs and retainers and I've always had hks 272s since my dsm days. I'm assuming theres a combo of some sort people are doing since everyone seems to still be selling 272 intake cams?

 

Buddy Club 272 exhaust cam should be a close copy.

you can use almost anything. dont know what you want to get out of your set up, hks makes a 264 ex and I have run that with the 272i and its a great midrange combo, or you could see about the newer hks 278e from their newest offering. Or really anyone elses exhaust cam for that matter-- split duration is fine. thinking 280+ is a little much but that just me-
