GSC Power Division Cams - Installed and turning!!

I installed GSC's Power Division cams last week. I replaced my HKS 264/264 cams with these in the 272/264 format. The specs are identical to the HKS's but they are less expensive by 50-100 dollars per pair.

www.gscmotorsports.com 1866-548-4GSC

I have run them for a week and will dyno the setup as soon as I can. I was scheduled to dyno Sunday but the dyno operators didn't show up.

My one week review is as follows:

These install the same as the HKS's and do not need reworking of the valvetrain. To the naked eye there is no difference in the GSC PD cams vs the HKS cams I removed. The cams make no valvetrain noises and do not exhibit any adverse effects, symptoms, or problems.

They feel very strong! I am not tuned for the 272 intake cam yet, but the car still feels very strong. There is a slightly noticeable increase in lope at idle with this configuration but it's not too much different than 264/264. I wish I had a tuned ecu dyno pull for you, but it might be next month before that comes.

I can only recommend the GSC Power Division cams based on my experience with them. I KNOW this setup will make more power than my HKS 264's. It has a bit more pull above 6K. My 264's hit 340 on pump gas at 6500 RPMs and I am certain these will shift the power up a little towards 7k - 7.2K and give a little bump in HP and possibly even more torque due to the retention of the 264 exhaust cam.

I'm pumped that GSC has come out with a great alternative to the HKS cams. The same specs at a significantly lower price! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! Dyno ASAP.

Are you freaking kidding me?!!??!? What other mods does that car have with ECU, stock turbo and block? Ported head, etc? So much for the "record" posted in the Engine Forum!!!

I hope my numbers are big! These cams are badass!!!!

I would really like to see a dyno comparison of before (stock cams) and after (with GSC cams) on the same car with the same dyno conditions so we can see the gains. I've already seen this with the HKS 264's, and the increase over stock seems very impressive. Until I see something similar with GSC cams, I'm still leaning towards HKS. But those are some impressive numbers nonetheless.

Don't you think stock cams would look the same as when HKS did them? LOL. This graph just shows that these cams make great power! My graph will actually compare my HKS cams to my new GSC cams (whenever I get the damn dyno)....Hopefully Sunday.
