Which Intercooler so I can fit a Cusco Powerbrace

Help!! I bought a Cusco front powerbrace (fits behind front bumper) but doesn't fit due to my uprated intercooler (APS).
I need to know what coolers you guys are running on a 9 with a cusco powerbrace?

Here's a pic of my intercooler, sorry it's not straight on it's the only one I could find

Thanks in advance

Contact ETS, they have an intercooler that works with the Cusco brace.
Otherwise, I believe the V1 AMS IC will work as well. Not sure about V2 AMS

Your APS is too wide at the top, as was my old ARC intercooler as well.

Thanks for the reply, yeah the bend on the brace is catching the end tanks so it's holding it about 2" from the body.
I wanted to fit this so much but looks like it's going to cost me a whole lot more than just the cost of the brace Oh well lets get searching our UK suppliers for a new fmic

Edit to ask do you know what core thickness it is?

off topic.. The design of the APS looks just like the Perrin and the VRSF intercoolers, with the endtank designs I mean.

Wish that was an option, although the brace is new I had it colour coded to my car because cusco paint is rubbish, so can't return it and it's narrowed down the colour options of potential buyers due to the colour. Probably sell my APS cooler and maybe get a custom Spec-R one made or go for a ETS.
Will way up my options when I go to Spec-R on Monday

We have an intercooler designed for the power brace. If your not looking to buy another intercooler you may be able to add a couple spacers behind the brace to bring it out.

Just sold one.....had tons of interest and mine wasn't the Cusco original paint. Most likely you would get pretty close o what they cost new.

Thanks for your input Michael, I just missed out on a group buy for a ETS fmic through the MLR run by Wallace Performance
Don't fancy the spacer idea as it sits out around 2" from the mounting points due to the length of the cooler.
Out of interest and possible future purchase which ETS cooler would I require?
I don't want to sell the powerbrace really as it looks cool and meaningful through the grill

I know what your saying but I will be selling to a UK market and they are not really into powerbrace look
I personally love the look of it and get a lot of my ideas from your side of the pond of what I want for my car
More than likely go the ETS route eventually, still saving some coin at the moment though as I only just got my car back last week from forged stroker build and new turbo set up

hey man. bummer about the intercooler not fitting.

obviously this is completely up to you, but you already have a good FMIC, it is already mounted up etc. Sell the damn brace. it "arguably" adds little to no functional value to the car other than looking bad@ss (and it does) behind the bumper. is it really worth selling and buying a 800 dollar fmic to fit a 300 brace?

seems silly to me, but if thats what you want then thats what you want. sell the fmic, order from mike at ets and be done with it.

best of luck with the decision

You right it does look bad@ss and I more than likely will get a new fmic just due to the fact not many UK owners has it
