2005 evo 8 tranny into a 2003 evo 8 transfer case
Hi there I have a problem installing my 03 transfer case into my 05 tranny. It seem like it don't want to fit. Any help here.

no reason it shouldn't fit. all evo 8 and 9 transmissions and transfer cases are interchangeable.

05 has acd and 03 doesnt. Wouldnt that be an issue?

I though all evo 8/9 tranny are interchangeable.

But I using a 03 transfer case so the acd won't even matter.

It look like the out put tube on the 05 tranny is to big to go into the 03 transfer case.

What exactly are you having trouble with? I just did my clutch last week. Yes they are all interchangeable.

Make sure the stub shaft is removed on the drivers side.

No reason it should not fit. Many have put non-acd transfer cases on their 05-06 trannies without issue.

no it's not. they're all the same size.

why are you changing transmissions? did you break something? if you can't get the parts to fit something is wrong.

I have a 2003 evo 8 but the tranny broken so I pick up a 05 tranny to replace it and now it look like the tranny and transfer case is not bolting up.

how is it not fitting?
did you remove the stubby shaft?
the tranny lines up with the motor correct?

they are definitely interchangeable.
