I was driving enthusiastically tonight and upon leaving 3rd gear, I went to jam 4th, and didn't make it. The transmission then was stuck in neutral but I managed to man handle it into 5th so I could drive to a parking lot.
Once parked I turned the car off and shifter was extremely stiff and wouldn't go into any gears. Worked with it for about 15 minutes and was able to get 1,2,5,R. 3rd gear is nowhere to be found, and with much force 4th will grind but no engagement.

I see 3rd and 4th gear share a shift fork. Did I most likely bend the fork?

mine just did this last night, did you ever figure out what the issue was?
im guessing its a bent shift fork aswell but yea.

Bent or broken 3-4 shift fork.

 

There are those that ***** about reviving threads, and usually they ***** about making new ones too lol.

I sent mine to Shep and it ended up being a roll pin for the shift fork had sheared off. I apparently pulled too hard lol.

My trans needed lots and lots of new parts due to my abuse over the years.
