Recently I have noticed a ver loud screeching sound when I slip my clutch a little from a stop. I have an ACT Stage 4 6 Puck Unsprung hub clutch. (Dont ask why it was installed. The Previous owner thought it would be a good Idea on a daily driven car...lol)

I hear that the ACT Clutchs are the worst clutchs for EVO's because of the noises they make so Im wondering if anyone has had this issue before. The clutch is not slipping and hold perfectly so Im not sure if its worn

 

Im also having this issue with a comp stage 3 sprung 6 puck, very loud screech/whine from a stop. I will look at my TOB, maybe spray some wd40 on it thru the fork hole and see if theres a difference

 

my clutch makes some horrid noises i just turn the radio up problem solved

 

Because I dont know when mine was installed I will Replace the disk soon and keep everyone updated

 

That's an unsprung clutch for ya. I've had an ACT 6 puck unsprung clutch in my evo for over 40k miles. When I get that "screeching" noise you speak of, I'll launch the car hard a couple times the the noise will go away for a while.
