strange noise from the front
strange noise from the front
Lately ive bin having like a whirring or burring noise when i do slight lefts. It sounds kinda like a propeller airplane. And it goes away when i turn right. Anyone have an idea what this could be? Oh and my brakes screech real bad as real low speeds cause i think it got dirty when i changed my clutch. If i resurface my rotor will it go away or do i need to change my pads as well? Thanks guys.
Since it is affected quite a bit by turning my best guess is a wheel bearing. I can't remember which side would be indicated by left turns. Try jacking the front up and rocking the wheel on the hub, if you get a bit of play then it is time for some new bearings. It is advisable to do both even if just one is going bad.
With the wheel off the ground grab it by the top and bottom and give it a shake. If there is up and down play then more than likely it's your wheel bearing. The growling noise you're also hearing is an indication of a bad bearing as well.
