i have a grinding noise coming from the front left area when driving.
[symptom] grinding noise when car is moving and in any gear. As soon as I floor the clutch pedal, the noise goes away. The sounds is faint, but I drive the car everyday, I know it didn't make this noise until today. No matter how fast/ low I go, the noise goes away as soon as I floor the clutch pedal.

[how it happened] it was fine until like one hour ago, I started my car , drive away from my community, and then I made a semi agressive left turn to catch a traffic light. The road condition was perfect. And then I started hearing this grinding noise.

Please help me to figure out what could be the potential causes, and do I need to watch out for anything?
Car seems to be running perfect, shifts well, no issues that I can think of.

sounds to me like it could be a bearing in the transmission of some type. Without actually being there it's hard to say.


If it were me I'd drain the transmission fluid and check for shavings.

what year is it? Is it still under warranty? If so just take it in before you do anything to it yourself!

 

Throw out bearing.
