Are EVO transmission gears shot peened from the factory?
I got off the phone with a trans shop and I was told that Mitsu shot peen's the gears from the box, i'd just like to confirm this. From what I heard from another source, it isn't..
Having the same gear shot peened twice would hurt the stability of the gears, correct?
I just need a bit more insight on this.

I started off by requesting if the gears could be shot peened since I have a 6-spd and would like to be able to run a bit more power without having to worry, I was notified that it was already shot peened from the factory and that if I were to do it again it would cause the metal to become brittle. Wasn't really sure if that was correct or not, hence wanting to confirm it.
