hi !! i have a friend thats selling to me a garret turbo in a good price... the only problem is that he dont know what the turbo is... if it GT30 or GT35 ... the housing is A/R 70...

please Help !

 

Looks like a 60-1. GT turbos are water cooled and the one you have there does not have coolant ports

 

Journal bearing, probably a 60 trim or a 60-1 as previously stated. Not a 50 trim as those never came in an S cover. In the middle pic there is a plate on the back of the compressor backing plate. Should have a part number on it.

 

That is not a good 60-1 they are 7 blades.

 

this is gt35 or gt37 journal bearing turbo oil cooled from diesel engines....
if compressor housing is 0.70 A/R then it could be gt3776....

or it could be a hybrid of some sort....

measure inducer and exducer from compressor and turbine wheels and then we can tell exactly which turbo it is....

 

i really dont know !! the price is veryy veryy good ... the turbo is on a 2JZ is300 and the car have 429@18psi pump gas... i dont know if it works well with my 2.0 stock block !! the guy dont know how to measure the inducer and exducer :s dont know what to do..
