Brainstorming spark issues. Who wants to join in?

Well I'm parting out my car and removing my cop system. After reinstalling my stock ignition the car runs like pure gargage. It struggles and hesitate sand sounds like a Subaru. After this I bough a single coil to test out which didn't have an affect even with swapping out both older coils. I them borrowed a buddy's stock ignition and same thing. I did have to use my bottom boots for his coils. I'm ordering a new boot hoping that is my weak link in the chain. Could their be something I'm missing? Do I just have bad luck and his parts are bad too? A third evo should confirm

Ok upon firther investigation I had a cracked spark plug and they were also very dirty. Unfortunately after i installed new plugs the problem persists. It still sounds like a Suby

Check the connector. Those pins are known to corrode over time and or bend when re-installed. If thats the case, its a simple and inexpensive fix.

Coil 2-3 always gets hot. I'll check the connector

The connectors look good from peaking in with a flashlight. I don't have a tool to get the pins out. I'm really stumped here.

Has any work been done to it recently? Timing belt? Cams?

I'm gonna do a compression test soon. I feel like I've tried the little things and have to check if I have major damage

I'm only getting a P0300 code. I just pulled the brand new plugs I put I and from only idling a handful of times swapping could out and found plugs one and four to be black

Well my numbers came out to 126-126-134-98. The pressure in cyclinder four went up after adding oil so it looks like my bottom end is to blame. Would it cause the bad spark or am I looking at two separate problems?

So I tested my coil connectors and power and ground both have 12v running through them and 1.3-3.5hertz on the 2 and 3 cylinders then 3-6 hz on 1 and 4. I'm stumped. I'm testing all of the coils now. Does anyone know the primary and secondary ohm values?

I was wrong it wasn't 1 and 4 not firing but 2 and 3. I put an ignition tester on and no matter what coil I put on it won't fire. The resistance on all of my coils are between 9.5 ohms and 10.4 ohms with the new coil reading 9.9. My short wires ranged from 1.8 ohms to 2.2 ohms and the long wires ranged from 3.1 ohms to 5.3 ohms for both sets. Everything seems to be within spec. Can an ecu pin be at fault hear?

Lol I feel like I'm the only one on this forum right now. So I got a piercing probe to better accurately read the wires and got an equal signal reading on both sides of the harness pre connector and I'm getting 22.6-23.2 hertz during idle. I'm gonna chop the connector off tomorrow and put on three fresh female terminal connectors. If that isn't it then I don't know what else. I can tell you that the coil in the 2 and 3 gets very hot compared to 1 and 4.
