Hey guys, looking at an 05 evo with the JAM 2.3l stroker kit. Car seems well built it only has 30k original miles. I was wondering how the maintenance would be like on it. Just standard 3k miles oil filter change?

 

yup, just maintain it like you would any other motor and you will be fine.

 

Pop your valve cover and check tq spec of head studs

 

Don't have to remove the cams or anything a 12 pt socket will fit

 

Ask the previous owner what weight oil he used. JAM is a great company for the dsm/evo world I would not worry about the quality of the engine.

 

With any built motor just check oil often since a built motor will consume a little bit of oil.

 

If you don't already have one, get a good catch can setup. Will help with longevity of seals etc.
