Hi all this my first post and would appreciate any help

I replaced my clutch on my evo 5 rs about 6mths ago with a excedy paddle was perfect for about 5mths no problems at all about 6 weeks ago I notice a slight slip in the clutch in 5th gear when accelerating from low revs

This has continued but recently when I accelerate hard in 3rd 4th or 5th I get this terrible tearing grinding noise (not usual noise when releasing clutch as with all paddles) but when driving say in 3rd and put the foot down clutch slips then tearing/grinding noise then clutch engages and car accelerates as normal

This is a lot worse when car is cold if on a long journey it still happens but not half as bad the only thing that gives me hope is the fact that after initially slipping and noise the car accelerates in every gear surely my clutch could not be gone after 5mths

Couple of things I replaced flywheel with clutch I checked there was no oil getting down on clutch plate none that I can see (I honestly thought that was the problem)

Anybody have any advise or info on this problem would love to hear it before I have to get ripping on my engine again

 

Is it sprung or unsprung? I had a similar problem after buying a exedy organic replacement (stage 1) it did not like be hammering on it.. 3-4 months down the road the springs in the middle of the clutch gave loose. I wish I had a picture of it, the springs were loose n mangled. Didn't make that much noise only when I'd take off, once in a while in between gears, I would get a scraping/tearing noise. See if you can take take a flashlight and shine some light through the inspection hole on the bottom of the Trans n see how it looks in there.
