Gtx3582r

Hi all,

I'm ald in the last stage of rebuilding my engine.

Tomei 270/280 Cams
Tomei 2.2 Stroker
HKS Kansai Intake Manifold with stock TB
Sard fuel rail with 1200cc injectors
sard surge tank with twin external pumps
blitz intercooler with custom pipings
autronic sm4
apexi avcr

the only problem im facing now is the turbo, the gtx3582r.

not really sure if this is the correct turbo to use and how much will i be expecting?

stock manifold with gtx3582r + buschur racing o2 housing and 3inch downpipe, decat cat and apexi n1.

due to legality issues in my country, this is best flow I can have which will give me a 50/50 arguement with the authorites.

and also do the water drain nuts etc fit well? I am meeting some problems but no photos now, will drop by the shop tmr to take clearer photos.

thanks for the help in advance!

true, i have a very conservative tune on mine, i know people that make close to 800. but he asked about a specific turbo that i happend to have so i posted my expirience. i can also cruise out of boost and get 32MPG on the high way at 80mph.

it was a tight squeeze to say the least. but with a little patience and busted knuckles, we got it fitted. i worked on those bolts for probably a good 2 hours, at one point i thought i stripped them. but it all worked out.

this ^^^ is the exact the reason i prefer the 3582, its a little laggy, but that lag allows my 65+ year old mom to drive the car to the store with out killing her self. and keeps me from being to retarded. i can drive people around all day with no one suspecting the car makes almost 600hp. its nice and docile untill you take the RPMs to 3500/4k, then she wakes up and all hell breaks loose. but it was my ideal situation when doing the research. 35mpg, nice and calm, still makes power when i want it. after i built it my mom drove it and asked where all my money went... she couldn't notice the change. then a week later i got a frantic phone call from her she had a guy trying to not let her merge on to the high way and she spooled the turbo for the first time..... needless to say she had no problem merging underboost but she thought she broke the car lol she now understands the money i "wasted" on the car wasn't just to improve MPG....

not to hard to believe really, when you driving out of boost it acts like a normal car, only time you really burn the fuel away is when the turbo wakes up, which makes the engine hungry for fuel

its not that big of a streatch, i took into to account the evo's gearbox when i chose this turbo, while setting my HP goal. the ATP GTX3582R is laggy, i can stay under 3500/4000rpm and not boost, which means i am at right around 80mph, cruising down the high way sipping gas not dumping fuel the second my foot touches the pedal.

Haha my mom rocked a pimped Datsun and rx7 when I was still peeing my pants I learned to wrench from her!

/ot

Also, stock location are we talking here?

Edit.. Yup re read the post.. Pricing rivals that of other turbos bolt ons but can transform into a t- foot print when the time comes.
