Need a good price for IC piping
If any of you vendor's have IC piping for sale for the EVO 8, please post your prices and kits . I am looking to buy in the next couple of days, and i am looking for a good price. PM me if necessary.
You might as well find a buyer for your stock IC and get the greddy. I heard that the upper pipes dont help you out all that much, but the lower pipes will. The greddy IC comes with lower piping and the core is alot bigger than stock. You can get that kit for 800 shipped. THat is only about 300-400 more comparing to any IC pipe kits in the market. For the horsepower gain, with camshafts, you can max out the stock turbo (350whp). my 02cents.
well i want the pipe kit, but i dont wanna spend over 500 bucks on some metal pipes. I dont get why they are soo expensive. But if anyone else wants to post thier kits and prices, please do soo. i have been waiting to mod my EVO for a while.

Most of the pipes that you get are full sets also. Which could cost you to waste money. What happens when you decide to upgrade your intercooler and you get a larger core? (The lower pipes that you jsut spent money on with a full set wont work and youll be using the ones that came with your new intercooler.)

Buschur Racing's kit is 330 and that's with a 1G DSM DV flange and valve. They will also sell it with any flange you want, but if you want my opinion, the 1G's the way to go. It's all metal (no plastic diaphragm to tear), holds boost well and won't kill your wallet.
That's what I have in my car and I really like it, not only because it's cost effective, but because it removes so many bends from the system. You will not be able to use your stock battery in its stock location, but that's no biggie, mine's in the trunk now.
Or you can use a mini battery.

BR IC piping kit is soo cheap cause they figure you buy the mini battery from them as well to make up for the cheap price for the piping. Either way they find away to get thier money, or they would make it to fit with the stock battery/position.

To be honest your opinion of why we did the i/c plumbing the way we did pisses me off.
We didn't do it the way we did "so we could still get our money" is complete bull****.
We designed the i/c plumbing the way we did because it is the only way it makes sense. Everyone else is keeping the rediculous stock routing of the plumbing which has WAY too many bends in it and WAY too much length. By building it the way we did we eliminated 6 bends and 16" of piping, that only makes sense from a performance standpoint.
The reason the upper i/c pipe kit is cheaper is because we build it in house from start to finish except for the bending.
The tubing, although polished or powder coated stainless is the same weight as the stock aluminum plumbing that is on the car. The stainless also holds up better to the environment and to tightening the i/c clamps super tight. Aluminum tubing will crush if you tighten a t-bolt clamp to tight.
As for getting our money from the battery kit, that is also bull****. You can source a battery from anywhere, guys have information all over this site. The battery we have we make little on but it has proven to work well. We also built the base plate, top plate and supply the new bolts to tie our battery down. The other option is to move the battery to the trunk which some guys do to.
