Wasn't sure what to title it lol.

Building a new motor, going into an VIII with 110k on it. What sensors etc should I replace while I'm at it?
Coolant temp?

I'd also recommend a new oil cooler. You dont know what kind of crap has accumulated in the old one. I also replaced my cam angle sensor and knock sensor for good measure.

No new oil cooler unless you had a major problem, thats what an oil filter is for (you did chamge that regularly, right?)

New knock sensor, tob, new timing parts, and with those miles id replace the oil pump/front case.

If he is going through a motor rebuild, why not spend the small amount of money and never think twice about it.

You could say that about every single part and sensor too, though.

Have new cooler, pick up strainer, timing parts, fluidamper, Buschur pan, front cover, oil and water pumps, full gasket set, GSC race balance shaft delete kit, new clutch kit, complete built head.

No failure in the old motor fwiw.

So add in knock sensor? What about crank position sensor?
