I've retimed it like 8 different times and I just rotated it 4 times everything lines up but my oil pump sprocket so looks like I'm going to have to untension it and retime again!

Okay so I'm even more stumped now.. I've retimed it again and on the 4th rotation my oil pump sprocket is the only thing that doesn't line up. So what should I do now? I've tried lining that back up with everything and still nothing? I really wish I could figure out why something is always out of time? No matter how many times I try to line everything up after I do the crank rotations something's always out of phase?

If all marks are lined up, do not worry about them not lining up when you rotate the motor. As long as your initial work is correct you are good to go.

Alright but I tried to start it up again and it still won't fire up. So I don't really know what's going on with it before i did the timing belt I drove it to Walmart. On my way there it threw the cam position sensor malfunction circuit 1 code and the crankshaft sensor malfunction circuit 1 code. It didn't want to stay running when I got to Walmart and idled like it had really lopey cams in it. ( which it doesn't still has stock cams in) I parked the car and went inside the store and came back out and it started but still idled like crap and stalled out. After that I couldn't get it to start back up so I had it towed home.

Let me get this straight. You installed a new cam belt after you had issues with drivability and non starting? Your cam timing was, is not your starting issue if the marks align. I just hope you did not bend any valves with all the DickXXX around you have done with the cam belt.

You obviously have another problem. You need to scan your vehicle and hopefully you will see your problem.

Ignition timing will alter the idle and could sound lopey as you heard. Could possibly be your Crank Trigger or Cam Position Sensor which could effect ignition timing.

Good Luck, Don

I figured I'd change the belt while I was already down there changing the crank sensor since I already knew I was going to be down that way. The old belt had 70k on it as well so it was time for a new one. The codes it threw I read on and everybody said that one of them could have been bad so I changed them both and installed the belt and still nothing's changed.

The marks only line up completely every 6th rotation. Make sure you have the Cam sensor in the groove on the end of the exhaust came and it is oriented correctly. If that is not on correctly it will cause the issues you speak of.

I thought the cam sensor could only go in one way I'll take it back out and try it again. I hope not its a brand new sensor (doesn't mean it's good I know) just wish I could drive it again especially with all of this snow we just got hammered with.

"CRANK" sensor. Are you certain it is not flipped inside out?

Positive I never touched the trigger plate at all it's been on the car since I've owned it and no problems with it. The sensor is the right way also.
