I was just about to post the same question! I'm deciding now whether or not to get one before ECU flash, and which one(s) people have had the least amount of issues with.

---By the way, got2evos... I just added to the "Free Dyno Day" thread back home [] about meeting up at DTC to go out to winchester on sun.

I have HKS EVC V and I love it. More functions than I even use.

That's one thing I'm looking for: I don't want more functions than I'm going to use. Anyone have a "cheapy" that works really well?

pick up the old greddy profec-b on ebay. it is a great unit that i have used on many cars with 0 problems. the new profec b spec 2 is nicer but it has a lot of problems.

Umm... The Spec II is a HORRIBLE unit. I have one now and it basically doesn't hold steady boost, spools slow, and sometimes decides to hold boost, other times it simply spikes to 1.64 Bar.

It's a POS. I'm replacing it with an MBC.

I keep hearing great things about these. I'm going to order one ASAP.

Do you use the heavy or light spring? Are you getting any spikes?

does everyone on here prefer MBC over EBC? I know there are a ton of threads on this topic but I don't feel like reading pages and pages of people's personal opinions.

Thanks, guys.

My Profec B has been giving me Hell. I'm sending it back to Greddy to be fixed then I'll be selling it.

I just ordered a Pro RX from MachV.

I'm pretty sure most owners prefer MBC's. Speaking for myself, I used Hallman's MBC and it held boost rock steady and no spikes. I prefer MBC based upon the KISS principle. (Keep It Simple Stupid). It is easy to install, easy to understand how it works and easy to troubleshoot.
