Cable Across Valve Cover

Does anyone else think the cable that crosses over the Evo's valve cover make it look fugly? I looked at the Evo MR's engine bay and it doesn't have that cable...

Is it the throttle? Does the MR have a Drive by Wire?

Has anyone moved the cable?

That huge piece of cable is a clear indication that this particular engine set-up was designed for RHD cars. Note that the throttle cable would be very short and direct if our Evos were RHD.

If you switch the cable configuration to the way it appears in the link above, you will have to beware. Throttle cables like the one we have in our Evo's don't nec like to be looped into tight circles. It can slowdown the efficiency of the cable, wear it prematurely, or in severe cases of wear...allow the throttle to stick.

I would personally leave it as is. But in the end it's your decision to make.

yeah i was a bit questionable about this mod due to the fact it does make the cable make a really tight loop.... though i am looking at other ways to lose the stock cable and gain some throttle response....
