switch M & W Pro 12 Ignition Module to high output mode (150 mj)
switch M & W Pro 12 Ignition Module to high output mode (150 mj)
I bought an M & W Pro 12 CDi Ignition for my EVO 9. Does any person know how to switch the power output of the said Pro 12 ignition module from 115 mj to 150mj high output mode ? Much appreciate and thanks !

yes, I have. My friend. But I do not undertand what they mean. It read rather awkward and take thing for granted that you ought to know what is happening. M & W is not willing to explain the instruction any further and the supplier Spark Tech would never reply your request. Disappointing. Can you explain to me how to do so ?

Leave power level switch disconnected for 105mJ -
650Hz mode or connected to Pin 10 for 150mJ -
350Hz mode.
Leave twin spark switch disconnectedf for single
spark 650Hz mode or connected to Pin 10 for twin
spark 350Hz mode.
Note! It is not possible to have both high power and
twin spark active at the same time.

The instruction from M & W is different from yours. (a) Power Level Switch : It said "ground the input through either a "Hobbs" style pressure switch or mapped ECU output when elevated energy levels are required.
Or (b) Two Spark Switch : "ground the input manually or through a mapped ECU output."
What do you thing ?

I do, in my case. Due to its short duration at low rpm and its power ouput is shared by two coils with wasted spark system, and it is not multi-spark set up, the W & M does not burn the lean fuel misture in full. Its drivability is not up to usual standard. It occasionally has flat spot and hesitate then even stall before the red light. Overall, it cannot handle the extremely high output turbo engine in loe output mode. Now I has fitted the MSD DIS 2 HO wasted spark system and the result is excellent. Any comment to my job done ? Lastly, I would tell you that I waste a lot of money on the M & W and preparing to sell it out. Somebody who know it well definitely would want it.
