Anyone running AEM Twin Fire?

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about or is running the aem twin fire. I ordered the hks dli ii but it is backordered for sometime so I am looking for a different route.

Dan

AEM’s digital Multi-Channel Twin Fire Ignition is the lightest, smallest and most cost effective ignition module on the market. This unit is available in four- and eight-channel configurations, works with O.E.M. coil-on-plug and distributed spark systems, and is ideal for applications that utilize aftermarket stand-alone engine management systems.

Our Twin Fire Ignition module is the only capacitive discharge ignition system available with dual capacitors. This enables the AEM C2DI to produce more spark energy and voltage per spark than any other available CDI unit. AEM’s exclusive Twin-Cap technology stores the energy for two distinct spark events and allows for full energy for each individual plug, including high-rpm V8s, and even on rotary engines utilizing separate leading and trailing ignition maps.

Key Features:
• 189mJ spark energy per capacitor
• 540v primary/54,000v secondary voltage energy
• Multi-Strike capability of up to 10 sparks per ignition trigger (20 degrees)
• Twin-Cap spark events are at full energy and can be simultaneous
• Smallest (5.5” x 4.625” x 1.375”) and lightest (1.5lbs) CDI on the market
• Four- or eight-channel availability
• Full spark energy with battery voltage as low as 9v
• Tachometer output included
• Extruded enclosure

Anyway, I already called AMS directly and this product is going to hit the street at the end of the month or beginning of April.

From what AEM says, you want to order the 4 channel one. Ia lready have a great price from a local vendor which is a friend of mine. It looks like this product might sweep the HKS DLI away, street price I got is about $300 and the MSRP is $412 according to the one of the AEM sponsors page on Turbo magazine

Yea it will work on the evo, just has to be wired in which is very simple and comes with detailed instructions. The old one had a batch of bad ones that would over heat and what not. The new features are listed in my post.
