RC 1000 or FIC 1050, with FP red?

RC 1000 or FIC 1050, with FP red?
Are FIC's better and make more power?

I just bought a used FP red and a friend of mine getting rid of RC 1000's for $50, but I read that FIC's are better, is this true?

Don't expect to make more than 450whp if you go that small. To make 500whp and up you will need 1100 at a minimum.

I think the 1450/Blue Max would be a better choice for the Red, especially if your going to run corn.
