Ported head

I haven't found any conclusive research as to who I should look to for building my non-mivec head. Headgames offers a basic pocket port + complete valvetrain for $1500. recommendations?

MAP can do it as well at a good price with lots of options. Look into Magnus as well.

Many companies to choose from, I'd just go with whose product you think has been proven to be efficient and who will give you a better price.

Buschur Racing has certainly been proven so I would definitely recommend them.
Curt Brown is known for impeccable porting services so I would also recommend him.
MAPerformance are also notorious for their porting skills so definitely them as well.

I'm not trying to sell any of these companies but they are probably the favorable. I'm sure there are others, but this is all I can think of at the moment.

I have a Head Games port on my MIVEC head that I've been very happy with. They do great work.

Cnc is also an option if you want to fork over more coin. I went with a gsc cnc'd head for many reasons but one big one is consistency.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a ported head as well. After speaking to a number of companies and individuals, I am 99% sure that I will be sending my core to HeadGames. (They're in the process of moving locations but I am going to sort out the details within the next few weeks).
