Don't be fooled by a stupid sticker with a brand name on it and pay $90 for this same mac solenoid.

This should be stickied, since I'm willing to bet most of the people on here has paid $90 +/- for this exact solenoid. I have before.

Its the same base solenoid, but according to grimmspeed it's more than just a new sticker. They claim that their version has custom made valving inside. Whether or not that is true idk because I haven't tore apart the 2 valves just to see. But this issue has been discussed a few times off and on on the forum.

That just looks ugly... I don't care if Grimspeed use this as their core and add another 80 dollars to their product... At least it looks like it came from a company that knows what they're doing and not some DIY kind of thing..

You do know this is what comes with AEM's tru-boost right? But with the AEM sticker, same with hondata. lol.

Why spend more money for the same product though? Only reason I could see is if you're to scared to wire 2 wires up, and you want a PnP. Grimspeeds looks like a DIY project in all honesty.. Reason I say that is, the core mac solenoid is the link above. They painted it all black making it something that you could DIY.

I bought a 4 port solenoid from them, and it's worked exactly how it was supposed too.

Hey, whatever floats your boat.
I myself would rather pay the extra $80 and have someone else wire those wires, paint it black, put their logo on it, and ship it off to me.

I wish I could delete the thread then. Since you don't want to help the community save money.
